Pastor with 666 tattoo claims to be divine

I guess this shouldnt surprise me, and actually it really didn't. I've posted before on this blog regarding Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda, who claimed to be god in the flesh. He calls himself God, but now a apparently he has gone a step further, as yesterday's cnn.com article explains. Not only does he now claim to be God, but he also claims to be the Antichrist, and has the number 666 tattoed on his arm! If that wasnt enough, some of his members have actually gotten a similar tattoo, apparently as a show of support and faith in him.

Jesus said false Christs would come (Matthew 24, Mk. 13, etc.) so this should be no surprise to anyone.

Interesting quote from the CNN article though:

"And what about the tattoo of 666 on his arm?
Although it's a number usually associated with Satan, not the son of God, de Jesus says that 666 and the Antichrist are, like him, misunderstood.
The Antichrist is not the devil, de Jesus tells his congregation; he's the being who replaces Jesus on Earth.
"Antichrist is the best person in the world," he says. "Antichrist means don't put your eyes on Jesus because Jesus of Nazareth wasn't a Christian. Antichrist means do not put your eyes on Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Put it on Jesus after the cross."
And de Jesus says that means him."

This speaks to a key question many have wondered about with the number 666: If everyone knows the number 666 represents evil and the Antichrist, how will he, the Antichrist get people to take his number? The answer: by convincing people that the number doesnt mean what Christians have long said it means. Thus, taking the mark will be a test of faith, and by then, since God will have sent them strong delusion, to believe the lie, the world will take the mark by the billions.

Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda is just one of many false Christs to come. Look for them to become more visible, charismatic, and convincing as time goes on. Know this for sure: there are some dark days ahead of us.

Churches back plan to unite under Pope

I cant even begin to emphasize how important I think this story is. This might be one of the biggest news stories to hit this weekend, although the mainstream media gave this stuff a collective yawn, as always.

The Times of London is reporting that Anglican and Catholic leaders are proposing to unite both churches under the Pope. Bible prophecy-watchers have been expecting something like this for some time now.

Why is this a big deal? Long story short: The Bible has long prophesied of the Antichrist to come, and Revelation 13 speaks of his partner in evil, one called the False Prophet. These 2 men are the leaders of a united world political system, and unified religious system also (commonly referred to as the One World Government and One World Religion). Many prophecy watchers (myself included) expect the World Religion to be centered in Rome, under the Pope. So its been interesting for some time now that there have been rumblings for some time of the breakaway denominations coming "back to Rome" unifying with the Roman Church.

Whatever is done in the dark comes to light eventually. Watch for more of talk of "unification" of different "Christian"denominations. And watch for churches to embrace the Roman Church all over again. This breaking down of the walls between denominations and religions is just a further step in the fulfillment of last days prophecy. It's a shame more people dont realize that.

Greetings from Atlanta!! New City... big things expected.

Greetings from Atlanta. I havent been doing much blogging lately. I had been preparing for my move from New York to Atlanta. Thanks be to God for a safe drive down here.

I'm still getting settled in. Its only been 9 days, but it seems longer for some reason. Just got my internet connection turned on 2 days ago. I have a lot of catching up to do, but I'm really happy to be here. I'm expecting big things in 2007 and beyond, personally, professionally, spiritually and in every way. Big things for this blog too, since I'll be posting more regularly and also doing more promoting of the blog as well.

I havent settled on a home church just yet, but it seems as if it's going to be either Solid Rock Pentecostal Church or Atlanta West Pentecostal Church. I've been to both, and I'm very impressed with what God is doing with both of these churches. Pastors Alonzo Terry and Darrell Johns are both solid men doing a great work for the Kingdom. Stop by and visit next time you're in town.

Blessings to all.

Until next time... peace.
