Great New Tool Added

I'm pretty pleased right now about a new tool I've just added to this blog, which will be a great plus on this site both for future posts, and those posts already on this site.

It's called ref tagger, and it makes all the Bible verse references on this site come alive. Bare references turn into hyperlinks when the reader hovers their mouse over the scripture verse posted. I came across it while browsing over at the Preterist Heresy Blog. Try it with this verse: Acts 2:38, or this verse: Daniel 12:3. Pretty nifty and convenient, I'd say.

Bloggers who want to add something like this to their site can get the code at this link: http://www.logos.com/reftagger.

Many thanks to Logos Bible Software for making this free tool available to me and the visitors of this blog.

I'll be looking to add more tools to improve the functionality of this blog in the weeks and months to come.

I havent posted as much the past month or so, largely because of a major transition I'm going through on a personal level at this time (a good transition). But I expect to be posting more again very shortly. Thanks for your patience.

Meanwhile, a happy holiday season to all, and a blessed 2009.

There Will Be A Day - Jeremy Camp

Beautiful song by Jeremy Camp: There Will be a Day.

This song serves to remind me that one day it will be worth it all, and it makes me want to help as many people as possible to be there with the Lord on "that day".

Just a beautiful, beautiful song; not much more I can say.

"Prophet" predicts disaster will prevent Obama from taking office

Photo: LA Times, Leland Freeborn, "Prophet of Parowan"

Is this man a false prophet? Well, lets just say I'm skeptical. But Leland Freeborn, a so-called prophet from Parowan, Utah has gone on record as "prophesying that President-elect Obama will not take office next month. (Freeborn is a former member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Although he was excommunicated by the church years ago, he still considers himself Mormon.)

His words:

"I think that you should hear what my opinion about the Obama election is: that he will not be the next president. I said on my home page in August that if he lost to expect to see the 'riots' that 2 Peter 2:13 tells us about. He didn't lose. But the story is not finished yet. I still think they may begin the riots before Christmas 2008, as I said."

These riots, according to his prophecy, will encourage the "old, hard-line Soviet guard" to seize the moment and rain down nukes on the United States, killing at least 100 million of us.

-------

To say I'm skeptical would be an understatement, but after January 20th, 2009 we can put him to the test as given to us in the bible:

21And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
22When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. (Deut 18;21-22)

And let's also keep in mind Jesus' words in Matthew 24:11 " 11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many."

I'll just go on record right now as saying I do not consider this man a prophet of God, and I do not expect his propecy to come true. So I fully expect that in about 6 weeks we can officially add Leland Freeborn to the list of false prophets we should keep an eye on.

New Gay Bible Angers Christians

Straight from the bowels of hell...
-----------
A gay version of the Bible, in which God says it is better to be gay than straight, is to be published by an American film producer.

New Mexico-based Revision Studios will publish The Princess Diana Bible – so named because of Diana's "many good works", it says – online at princessdianabible.com in spring 2009. A preview of Genesis is already available, in which instead of creating Adam and Eve, God creates Aida and Eve.

"And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Aida, and she slept: and he took one of her ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the Lord God had taken from woman, made he another woman, and brought her unto the first. And Aida said, 'This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of me. Therefore shall a woman leave her mother, and shall cleave unto her wife: and they shall be one flesh.' And they were both naked, the woman and her wife, and were not ashamed."

The film studio said it would also adapt and direct the revised Bible as a two-part mini-series, The Gay Old Testament and The Gay New Testament, once it is completed.

"There are many different versions of the Bible; I don't see why we can't have one," said Max Mitchell...
