Video: The Coming UN World Religon

A video about the emerging world antrichrist religion.
This stunning 38 minute video deals with (among other things) the link between occultic forces subtly guiding the United Nations, and indeed the world, toward the coming one world religion of the Antichrist.

Perhaps the most significant part of this video is is reference to the Lucis Trust, an non-government organization (NGO) approved by the UN, that has worked closely with them for decades. Keep in mind this group was orignally called the Lucifer Trust, until they changed their name, for obvious reason, to the less controversial Lucis Trust. Still, their Satanic/New Age doctine and goals are still fairly transparent to those who've looked closely at their teachings. And it should be note that the Lucis Trust was founded by one the the most famous Occultic/Luciferian writers and teachers of the 20th Century, Alice Bailey.

Terry Melanson has an excellent article on Bailey, Lucis, and her UN connection here.

From the article:

Lucis Trust promulgates the work of an "Ascended Master" who was working 'through' Alice Bailey for some 30 years. The Lucis Trust Publishing Company and their many fronts and organizations worship an "Externalized Hierarchy" of "Ascended Masters," who carry out the work of a Luciferian "master plan" for the establishment of a permanent "Age of Aquarius" ruled by one "Sanat Kumara", the "Lord of the World."

Lucis Trust is a powerful institution that enjoys "Consultative Status" with the United Nations, which permits it to have a close working relationship with the U.N., including a seat on the weekly sessions, but most importantly, influence with powerful business and national leaders throughout the world.

Through its founding of World Goodwill, Lucis Trust is "aggressively involved in promoting a globalist ideology":

Lucis Trust is run through an international board of trustees whose membership is said to have included: John D. Rockefeller; Norman Cousins; Robert S. McNamara; Thomas Watson, Jr. (IBM, former U.S. Ambassador to Moscow); Henry Clausen, Grand Commander of the Supreme Council, 33rd Degree, Southern District Scottish Rite and Henry Kissinger.

FLASHBACK (1988): The Economist magazine, "GET READY FOR A WORLD CURRENCY"

On this blog we've made frequent mention of late for the drive toward a new world economic order, including the push for a singular world currency.

However, it's worth noting that it's not just Christian prophecy-watchers and so-called "conspiracy nuts" who have long been watching for the emergence of a world currency. Twenty-one years ago, The Economist magazine spoke of the coming world currency, which they named "the phoenix".

To the skeptics, all this talk of a coming new world order, one world government, and the Antichrist all sounds like silly talk. I'm sure when Noah warned the world of the flood to come, that sounded like silly talk too.

... until the rain started to fall.

COVER: "GET READY FOR A WORLD CURRENCY"
Title of article: Get Ready for the Phoenix
Source: Economist; 01/9/88, Vol. 306, pp 9-10

From the article:

"THIRTY years from now, Americans, Japanese, Europeans, and people in many other rich countries, and some relatively poor ones will probably be paying for their shopping with the same currency. Prices will be quoted not in dollars, yen or D-marks but in, let's say, the phoenix. The phoenix will be favoured by companies and shoppers because it will be more convenient than today's national currencies, which by then will seem a quaint cause of much disruption to economic life in the last twentieth century.

At the beginning of 1988 this appears an outlandish prediction. Proposals for eventual monetary union proliferated five and ten years ago, but they hardly envisaged the setbacks of 1987."

(Note: the writer is apparently referring here to the events related to October 19, 1987 -- often referred to as "Black Monday"-- when stock markets crashed in the U.S. and around the world, shedding a huge value in a very short time.)

another quote...

" As the next century approaches, the natural forces that are pushing the world towards economic integration will offer governments a broad choice. They can go with the flow, or they can build barricades. Preparing the way for the phoenix will mean fewer pretended agreements on policy and more real ones. It will mean allowing and then actively promoting the private-sector use of an international money alongside existing national monies. That would let people vote with their wallets for the eventual move to full currency union. The phoenix would probably start as a cocktail of national currencies, just as the Special Drawing Right is today. In time, though, its value against national currencies would cease to matter, because people would choose it for its convenience and the stability of its purchasing power."

News Article: "A year after financial crisis, a new world order emerges"

McClatchy Newspapers

One year after the near collapse of the global financial system, this much is clear: The financial world as we knew it is over, and something new is rising from its ashes.
Historians will look at September 2008 as a watershed for the U.S. economy.

On Sept. 7, the government seized mortgage titans Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Eight days later, investment bank Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy, sparking a global financial panic that threatened to topple blue-chip financial institutions around the world. In the several months that followed, governments from Washington to Beijing responded with unprecedented intervention into financial markets and across their economies, seeking to stop the wreckage and stem the damage.

One year later, the easy-money system that financed the boom era from the 1980s until a year ago is smashed. Once-ravenous U.S. consumers are saving money and paying down debt. Banks are building reserves and hoarding cash. And governments are fashioning a new global financial order.

Congress and the Obama administration have lost faith in self-regulated markets. Together, they're writing the most sweeping new regulations over finance since the Great Depression. And in this ever-more-connected global economy, Washington is working with its partners through the G-20 group of nations to develop worldwide rules to govern finance.

Another step toward one world currency... The UN weighs in against the US Dollar.

I guess it was only a matter of time. Various nations worldwide, led by Russia and China, have been loudly calling for a replacement of the US dollar as the de facto world reserve currency, and calling for a new global currency to replace it. We even showed here how Russian president unveiled a "future world currency" that would replace the US dollar. Now the United Nations itself has thrown it's support for a new global currency.

It would seem like its not a question of if it's going to happen, but when.
What we're seeing is just another step in the undermining of American power, and the introduction of the New World Order/One World Government.

News article: UN: Dollar Doesn’t Make Sense
September 18, 2009 - 4:25 PM | by: David Lee Miller

Who doesn’t like the US dollar? The United Nations, that’s who. This is the same United Nations that gets the bulk of its funding from Uncle Sam.

In a recent report a UN agency, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) proposed replacing the dollar as the standard for global transactions with a new form of worldwide currency.

For decades the greenback has been used to price virtually all commodities. Since the end of the Second World War almost all countries have US dollar backed securities on reserve.

If the UN gets it’s way, all that could change.

Analyst Nile Gardiner of the Heritage foundation says the UN plan “would be a huge blow to American strategic power.”

In addition to a loss of prestige the US economy could suffer if dollars flood world markets.

According to Gardiner the UN plan is a “direct assault by the UN on American global power” from an organization with a “long track record of anti-Americanism.”

The principal author of the UN report, UNCTAD’s Chief Economist, Henier Flassbeck denies any anti-American sentiment, and calls Gardiner’s criticism “ridiculous.” According to Flassbeck demand for the US dollar is “irrational.” He argues the creation of an alternative financial instrument would provide more stability during times of economic upheaval. The new financial instrument proposed in his report would be pegged to a basket of different currencies to minimize what he called any “huge monetary shock.”

This is not the first time replacing the dollar as a global reserve currency has been put forth. China, Russia and other countries have discussed similar ideas. But as the US deficit grows and confidence in the dollar wanes, some analysts say the idea of a new world currency could be gaining momentum.

Popular NIV to be replaced by New Version

Kiss your NIV goodbye. The New International Version of the bible as we now know it will not be published any more after it's replaced by a new revised version coming out in 2011. Of couirse, not everybody's happy about it -- me included.
-----------
From Courier-Journal.com (Louisville, KY):

NIV Bible update may spark battle

Version would use more modern English

The Bible translation that has served as the, well, bible of the evangelical movement is getting an update.

Depending on how it's done, it could ignite the parent of all translation battles. Or it could reconcile a conflict that has pitted sibling against sibling.
More than 300 million copies of the New International Version of the Bible have been sold since it came out in 1978. It has become the translation of choice for many conservative evangelicals. And it has been packaged in countless ways — from standard study Bibles with commentary to a couples Bible with relationship lessons to camouflage-covered military versions.
But a quarter-century after its last revision, its copyright holder says it's time to bring it up to date with current uses of the English language. One noncontroversial example would be replacing “alien” with “foreigner,” but a conflict may loom over the use of gender in pronouns and other grammatical forms.
Controversy has surrounded two efforts to update the NIV — a New International Version Inclusive published in Britain in the 1990s and another that resulted in the Today's New International Version earlier this decade.
In both cases, translators used more “inclusive” language involving gender. (You need a scorecard to keep track of the versions.)
But some criticized those versions as more politically than linguistically correct. The Southern Baptist Convention passed a resolution in 2002 contending that the TNIV version “had gone beyond acceptable translation standards” in some cases where “father” was changed to “parent,” “man” to “mortals” and “sons of God” to “children of God.” Defenders said that as most English speakers no longer use male terms when referring to people regardless of sex, the Bibles they use should follow suit.

Texas DNA exonerees find prosperity after prison

With so much bad news out there, its good to read a heartwarming story every once in a while. One such story is that of exonerated Texas prisoners being compensated by the state for being wrongly convicted and imprisoned. Of course, money can never make up for the time lost; life is short enough as it is. But it's good to see the State of Texas doing the right thing to help these men get back on their feet and get their lives back together.

-------------------

DALLAS – Thomas McGowan's journey from prison to prosperity is about to culminate in $1.8 million, and he knows just how to spend it: on a house with three bedrooms, stainless steel kitchen appliances and a washer and dryer.

"I'll let my girlfriend pick out the rest," said McGowan, who was exonerated last year based on DNA evidence after spending nearly 23 years in prison for rape and robbery.

He and other exonerees in Texas, which leads the nation in freeing the wrongly convicted, soon will become instant millionaires under a new state law that took effect this week.

Exonerees will get $80,000 for each year they spent behind bars. The compensation also includes lifetime annuity payments that for most of the wrongly convicted are worth between $40,000 and $50,000 a year — making it by far the nation's most generous package.

"I'm nervous and excited," said McGowan, 50. "It's something I never had, this amount of money. I didn't have any money — period."
