In Memoriam: J.A.F.

Sad to  hear that a former co-worker of mine passed away a few days ago, at only 33 years young.

It just serves as a reminder that none of us is promised tomorrow. Every day is a gift. Indeed, every breath is a gift.

For me, it just reinforces my determination that every day must count for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God, and for His glory.

Thank you Lord God for this gift of life, and forgive me for too often taking it for granted.

Rest In Peace, Johann. All the best to your daughter, and to your family.
Amen.

The March Toward World Government Continues...

The elites who run things used to have no problem referring to their desired New World Order as, well, The New World Order. But when Christian prophecy watchers and other assorted opponents of world government started making frequent references to it, the term became a liability, and gradually fell into near disuse by the elites. The term One World Government also became undesirable. Another euphemism had to be found. Then came the term "global governance", a thinly veiled way of them referring to world government without actually calling it that.

Now, the term that has emerged is "world parliament", or (less frequently)"global parliament", a reference to the desire for a World Parliamentary Assembly, either to replace the United Nations, or to develop from within the existing United Nations structure. Since a parliament is essentially a legislative unit of a government,  it kind of goes without saying that a global parliamentary assembly would, of necessity, be a unit of a global government. No matter what kind of word games they play, or what kind of clever verbiage they use to make their true long-term intentions, the fact is simple. The march toward world government continues, and the world;s power elite is committed to make it happen.

Christians (at least those who have been paying close attention) know that it WILL happen, and that the driving force behind it is not the result of either social evolution nor politcal evolution, as some would have us believe. We know this movement is simply the result of a Satanic plan to lay the groundwork for the coming Antichrist.

The "World Parliament" movement seems to have really picked up steam as of late. Here below is just a sampling of recent articles found on the internet regarding this scheme to one day enslave and entrap the citizens of the world in its clutches:

World government endorsed by former congressman
December 7, 2012 By: Michael McGuire

An Illinois Republican who spent 22 years as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives has joined a campaign to establish a world parliament, a leader in the movement said Thursday.

Paul Findley, 91, who served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1961-83, expressed his formal support for theCampaign for a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly.
"In his youth, he had supported Clarence Streit's Union Now, and he is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Streit Council for a Union of Democracies," according to an emailed statement by John Sutter, president of the San Francisco-based Democratic World Federalists.

Jurists call for creation of world judicial system

Jurists from across the world have demanded creation of ‘World Judicial System’ and ‘World Parliament’ to strictly enforce and implement international law. This demand was raised by several judges including Chief Justices of various countries from across the world on Thursday in the Capital.
They will leave for Lucknow on Friday to attend the 13th International Conference on — ‘Enforceable International Law is the only Solution to the World’s Problem’. On Thursday, all jurists reached Rajghat, the Samadhi of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi to paid tribute to him.
Emphasising on the need of world judicial system, Chief Justice of Uganda BJ Odoki said that Africa had already formed a union of judges to explore the possibility of enforcement of uniform law. He added similar steps are needed to be taken to constitute a world judicial system and world parliament. “No one is above the law, international law must be strictly enforced and implemented,” he added.

World government topic of chief justices’ meeting

Superior court judges from throughout the world are meeting in Lucknow, India through Dec. 13 to discuss proposals for world government
The meeting is the 13th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World. The conference is live on the Web.
The goal of the conference is to promote “enforceable world law, effective global governance and peace education” to deal effectively with such problems as "lawlessness, terrorism, environmental degradation, drug trafficking and other global problems."
"New revolutionary changes in the technology of transport and communications have reduced the world to a global village," according to the group. "People living on the opposite sides of the globe have become virtual neighbours, thanks to the internet and supersonic jets. In such a close-knit world, the emergence or formation of a new world order is only a matter of time. The mute question is whether the unification of humankind will happen after unimaginable horrors precipitated by humanity’s stubborn clinging to old patterns of behaviour, or is to be embraced now by an act of consultative will."

Former senator backs world government
Adlai Stevenson III, who served in the U.S. Senate from Illinois, has added his name to a list of supporters of the Campaign for the Establishment of a UN Parliamentary Assemblythe group announced Friday.
Stevenson, a Democrat, is the son of two-time Democratic presidential Adlai Stevenson II and the great-grandson of Adlai Stevenson I, who served as vice president of the United States under President Grover Cleveland.
Stevenson III was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives prior to his election as Illinois State Treasurer. He won a special election to fill the unexpired term of Sen. Everett Dirksen. He was re-elected in 1974 and chose not to run for re-election in 1980.
Stevenson is the second former Illinois legislator this week to call for formation of a global parliament. He joins former U.S. Rep. Paul Findley (R-IL) in the campaign.

So its clear that the terms World Parliament and World Government are becoming essentially interchangeable terms, or at least they go hand in hand.
But there's the other side of the coin. Christian prophecy-watchers not only talk about the coming one world government, but also the coming one world religion, as the other cornerstone of the coming Antichrist's kingdom. So if there's all this talk about a political world parliament, one might think there's also a world parliament of religion somewhere out there.  And if that's what you guessed... you've guessed right!

Consider, then, the World Congress of Religions 2012, held from November 30th -December 2nd, 2012, or the 1st World Parliament on Spirituality held in India just recently (December 17-21, 2012). As their own website says, the World Congress of Religions 2012 was an event inspired by the original Parliament of World Religions which took place way back in 1893.

(I'll speak more about the religious unity and these parliaments in a future post, God willing.)

Two sides of the same coin. To wings of the same evil bird. In the end the world will have its Antichrist, and its False Prophet (see Revelation 13).
CLEARLY the devil is busy. The church needs to make sure it's busy too.

NY Daily News Endorses... Romney? Shocking!

There's very little that has shocked me this political season... but this really did.

As a former New Yorker, I read the NY news websites much more than the Atlanta papers here where I live. I like the NY Daily News, and have just learned to ignore their liberal slant on political matters. It was pretty much a given that they'd endorse Barack Obama, whom they endorsed in 2008 not surprisingly. So when I saw the NY Daily News endorse Mitt Romney for president, I couldnt believe my eyes. Am I reading this right? Is this satire? Was the webpage hacked? Nope. It's real. And quite surprising, if you really know the Daily News. I cant imagine anyone saying they saw this coming.

When the NYDN turns its back on an incumbent Democratic President, things must be really bad. I know  Daily News writer Mike Lupica must be choking on his corn flakes right about now. Hopefully, he'll be OK.

I'll post a few paragraphs here. The article is well-reasoned, and a well laid out. Its a bit long, but I encourage reader's to check it out in its entirety.

America’s heart, soul, brains and muscle — the middle- and working-class people who make this nation great — have been beset for too long by sapping economic decline.
So, too, New York breadwinners and families.
Paychecks are shrunken after more than a decade in which the workplace has asked more of wage earners and rewarded them less. The decline has knocked someone at the midpoint of the salary scale back to where he or she would have been in 1996.
Then, the subway fare, still paid by token, was $1.50, gasoline was $1.23 a gallon and the median rent for a stabilized apartment was $600 a month. Today, the base MetroCard subway fare is $2.25, gasoline is in the $3.90 range and the median stabilized rent is $1,050, with all the increases outpacing wage growth.
A crisis of long duration, the gap between purchasing power and the necessities of life widened after the 2008 meltdown revealed that the U.S. economy was built on toothpicks — and they snapped.
Nine million jobs evaporated. The typical American family saw $50,000 vanish from its net worth, and its median household income dropped by more than $87 a week. New Yorkers got off with a $54 weekly hit.
Our leaders owed us better than lower standards of living, and we must have better if the U.S. is to remain a beacon of prosperity where mothers and fathers can be confident of providing for their children and seeing them climb higher on the ladder.
Revival of the U.S. as a land of opportunity and upward mobility is the central challenge facing the next President. The question for Americans: Who is more likely to accomplish the mission — Barack Obama or Mitt Romney?
Four years ago, the Daily News endorsed Obama, seeing a historic figure whose intelligence, political skills and empathy with common folk positioned him to build on the small practical experience he would bring to the world’s toughest job. We valued Obama’s pledge to govern with bold pragmatism and bipartisanship.
The hopes of those days went unfulfilled.
Achingly slow job creation has left the U.S. with 4.3 million fewer positions than provided incomes to Americans in 2007. Half the new jobs have been part-time, lower-wage slots, a trend that has ruinously sped a hollowing of the middle class.
The official unemployment rate stands at 7.9%, marking only the second month below 8% after 43 months above that level. Worse, add people who are working part-time because they have no better choice and the rate leaps to almost 15%. Still worse, add 8 million people who have given up looking for employment and the number who are out of jobs or who are cobbling together hours to scrape by hits some 23 million people.
Only America’s social safety net, record deficits and the Federal Reserve’s unprecedented low-interest policies have kept the label Great Depression II on the shelf.

Article: Polls, Pundits Give Romney Historic Debate Victory; Will It Matter?

The Christian Post has a good breakdown and analysis of last night's presidential debate, a debate most observers agree was won by Mitt Romney hands down.
I guess the key question being asked though, is, "Will it matter?". Frankly, I don't think it will.

Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but I still feel like Obama will end up winning in the end. This is the first of three debates. They still have two more debates coming up, dealing with social issues and foreign policy. Social issues like gay marriage and abortion "rights" are always a minefield for any Republican candidate, so I expect Obama to have the edge there. Foreign policy should be the President's strength since he has the power of incumbency and active foreign policy experience, as opposed to Romney, who might have some good ideas, but no actual experience in that area. This might seem to be an area of advantage for Obama, but his problem is that he actually has a foreign policy record to defend, and many areas for Romney to attack (such as the White House's dissembling, deceptive spinning of the story regarding the recent assassination of our ambassador to Libya [see stories here, and here on this, for example]).

Yes, I still think Obama will win, and I'll be shocked out of my mind if Romney pulls off the victory. But in the meantime, it's kinda fun to see so many liberals being quite uncomfortable,  if not downright nervous  even panicky, at seeing that Romney might be more of a challenge to Obama this November than they thought.

Interestingly, I think one of the most telling comments in all this come from NBC's Tom Brokaw, who said that if Romney had performed like Obama did last night this thing would have been over.  He's 100% right on that. The media would have pounced on Romney like jackals on a wounded deer, and essentially stuck the long knives into his campaign to try and finish him off. Now they cant quite do that  something, I firmly believe many of them were hoping, and still hope, to do so their guy can get re-elected.

At the end of the day, my position remains the same. No man has the answer to America's, or the world's, problems. I know who I'd prefer to see win this thing, but I'm not sure in the end it will really matter that much. At it's core, America's problems are neither social nor political; they are spiritual, and when all is said and done, if America continues to stray away from it's original biblical foundations and principles, we'll just continue to march headlong toward the day of destruction which is sure to come. Meanwhile, however, God bless America. And God help America.

Tribute to a Fallen Brother: Pentecostal Pastor Shot Dead

Very sad to read of the recent passing of Rev. Henry Rodriguez, a Pastor affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International, who was senseless murdered by assassins this past week in Colombia.

May his soul rest in peace until the day that trumpet sounds. Blessings upon his family, and also to the church he left behind. May the saints of God never forget to pray for the safety and well-being of the ministers and fellow saints around the world. Amen.

Press Release from Christian Solidarity Worldwide (Sept. 19, 2012):

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) is calling for a full investigation into the murder of protestant Pastor Henry Rodriguez, 44, who was shot dead as he exited his church in Bogota, Colombia, on Sunday 16 September.  Pastor Rodriguez was a leader at the United Pentecostal Church in the Marsella neighbourhood in the Kennedy sector of Bogota.
The reasons behind the assassination are unknown, however, according to local press reports, witnesses said the murder was carried out by what appeared to be professional hit men. Pastor Rodriguez was leaving the church after an afternoon service when he was shot multiple times by two men on a moped, a method commonly used in professional hits in Colombia. Hospital staff were unable to resuscitate him.
While the assassination of a pastor is extremely unusual in Bogota, countrywide church leaders are frequently targeted by illegal armed groups. CSW’s long-term partners in Colombia, the Colombian Council of Evangelical Churches (CEDECOL) Peace Commission, estimates that on average 20-30 church leaders are assassinated each year. In general, leaders are targeted because of their refusal to cooperate or support the objectives of the illegal armed groups; however, the reasons behind the murder of Pastor Rodriguez are unclear as he had not reported receiving any threats prior to Sunday’s events.
Pastor Rodriguez, who was on course to graduate in October from the Baptist Seminary in Cali, is survived by his wife and three children. In a statement released by the United Pentecostal Church of Colombia, Vicente Arango, Director of Missions, said, “Our heart is troubled by the departure of or brother, companion, and faithful friend. Our brother Henry Rodriguez, left for the King’s palace. Now he awaits the joyful words of our beloved Lord, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
Mervyn Thomas, Chief Executive of CSW, added, “We were devastated to learn of the assassination of Pastor Henry Rodriguez on Sunday evening and are extremely concerned at the fact that the assassination was carried out so brazenly in the capital city on the steps of the church in front of many witnesses. We encourage the Colombian authorities to ensure that a full investigation into the murder of Pastor Rodriguez takes place soon and that those responsible are brought to justice. We also offer our condolences to his wife, Sara, and their three children.”

THREE TIMES THEY SAID NO TO GOD. Enough said.

If anyone doubts that the Democratic Party is the party of godlessness, the videos below speaks for themselves (especially the second, longer version).

They can hastily try to cover up what they REALLY feel about God, as they did yesterday, to try to avoid a public-relations catastrophe (see story below). But the proverbial cat has long been out of the bag, for those of us who've been paying attention all these years.

More and more, the Democrats, the party of abortion and homosexual marriage,  are starting to show their true nature, whether they want to or not.
==
One thing is crystal clear. They NEVER GOT they 2/3 majority needed to update their platform. This was a rush job, a scam, and a coverup to repair the damage they were beginning to suffer, as their original anti-God platform got more and more scrutiny.

God only knows what America will look like if we get four more years of these people in power. God help America.

Dems Quickly Switch to

Include "God," "Jerusalem"

Moments after convention chairman Antonio Villaraigosa gaveled in day two of the Democratic Convention, the hall burst into chaos as Democrats voted to amend their party's platform to include the word "God" and name Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Villaraigosa called the vote three times. The first two voice votes, which require a two-thirds majority to pass, were tied between "ays" and "nos." On the third vote it was still hard to tell whether he "ays" were audibly louder than the "nays" in the half-full arena.
When Villaraigosa announced "the ays have it," loud boos erupted across the arena.

Ryan vs Obama: Hiding Spending Doesn't Reduce Spending

OK folks, turn your speakers up, and please listen to the video above, if you haven seen/heard it before.

Its videos like this that make me like Paul Ryan.  To me, Ryan is more honest about the real budget numbers than any politician in recent memory. He recognizes that America is headed over a financial cliff, and knows that difficult choices (i.e. cuts) have to be made to prevent American from even more dire financial problems down the road.

Some of the budget cuts he proposes are unpopular, and cause his enemies to vilify him (such as those liars who say he wants to "end Medicaid"). Look for more such lies and distortions from his political enemies between now and November. But Ryan is one of the few who's willing to be honest enough with America to tell us all what we need to hear about the budget numbers and the gloomy picture ahead of us if we continue down this path. His forthrightness on this issue is refreshing, although I do wonder if the American people really want to hear the uncomfortable truth, as much as we might say we do.

Time will tell. But I do like the pick for sure. Ryan is no Sarah Palin. He's no Dan Quayle, and his enemies know that... which I think makes them a bit nervous.  He's a solid pick, one who has no problem going head-to-head with Obama himself (as seen in the video above).

Frankly, the Romney vs Obama debate will be interesting, but what I'm really looking forward to is the Ryan vs Biden debate. Somehow I have the feeling Biden is going to have his head handed to him when that debate comes along. I'll definitely have my popcorn ready.

No More Years, Mr. President. No More Years.

“Look, I’m at the start of my administration. One nice thing about the situation I find myself in is that I will be held accountable. You know, I’ve got four years. And, you know, a year from now I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress,” Obama said. “But there’s still going to be some pain out there. If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”
-Barack Obama, Feb 2008.

"Three years", he said. He voluntarily set that standard for us to judge him by. Those 3+ years have come and gone, and by his own standard, he hasnt gotten the job done.

The economic numbers just keep looking bad, with no indication of improvment within view. America is going through the longest period of 8 percent + unemployment since the great depression. This is no  longer the Bush economy. This is the Obama economy, so it's time for the media to stop giving Obama a pass. Lord knows under these same circumstances, a Republican president would have been held accountable for the state of the economy, rather than still trying to place the blame at the feet of the previous administration.

The latest piece of evidence to add to the pile:

FOREIGN DEBT UP 72.3% UNDER OBAMA
(CNS News) The money the U.S. government owes to foreign entities rose to a record $5.2923 trillion in June, according to data released by the U.S. Treasury Wednesday afternoon.
In May, the U.S. Treasury had owed $5.2581 trillion to foreign entities. On net, in June, the U.S. government borrowed an additional $34.2 billion from foreign entities in order to fund U.S. government operations.
The U.S. government’s indebtedness to foreign interests has grown by 72.3 percent during President Barack Obama’s term in office. In January 2009, when Obama was inaugurated, the U.S. government owed $3.0717 trillion to foreign entities, according to the Treasury Department. That has increased by $2.2206 trillion—or 72.3 percent—to the record $5.2923 trillion reported for yesterday.

Its hard, by any objective measure, to consider this man's presidency a success.
No more years. Amateur hour is over. He needs to go.
