Pastor with 666 tattoo claims to be divine

I guess this shouldnt surprise me, and actually it really didn't. I've posted before on this blog regarding Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda, who claimed to be god in the flesh. He calls himself God, but now a apparently he has gone a step further, as yesterday's cnn.com article explains. Not only does he now claim to be God, but he also claims to be the Antichrist, and has the number 666 tattoed on his arm! If that wasnt enough, some of his members have actually gotten a similar tattoo, apparently as a show of support and faith in him.

Jesus said false Christs would come (Matthew 24, Mk. 13, etc.) so this should be no surprise to anyone.

Interesting quote from the CNN article though:

"And what about the tattoo of 666 on his arm?
Although it's a number usually associated with Satan, not the son of God, de Jesus says that 666 and the Antichrist are, like him, misunderstood.
The Antichrist is not the devil, de Jesus tells his congregation; he's the being who replaces Jesus on Earth.
"Antichrist is the best person in the world," he says. "Antichrist means don't put your eyes on Jesus because Jesus of Nazareth wasn't a Christian. Antichrist means do not put your eyes on Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Put it on Jesus after the cross."
And de Jesus says that means him."

This speaks to a key question many have wondered about with the number 666: If everyone knows the number 666 represents evil and the Antichrist, how will he, the Antichrist get people to take his number? The answer: by convincing people that the number doesnt mean what Christians have long said it means. Thus, taking the mark will be a test of faith, and by then, since God will have sent them strong delusion, to believe the lie, the world will take the mark by the billions.

Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda is just one of many false Christs to come. Look for them to become more visible, charismatic, and convincing as time goes on. Know this for sure: there are some dark days ahead of us.

This man is dangerous -- leading the uneducated and spiritually adolescent masses to ruination. I saw a televised segment on this character. He has "charlatan" written all over his forehead.

Jesus warned us that there would be many anti-Christs creeping in amongst the sheepfold. There will be those who say Jesus is here, or Jesus is there... from such, run away.
